Lana Denina is a Beninese and French painter working in Montreal. Human interactions, physical variation, and body movements are all explored in her work. She illustrates the various cultures that surround her by combining digital art and painting in a unique and creative way. She feels that people of colour, particularly black culture, should be represented in modern art.
She artist attempts to bring attention to people and stories that are rarely heard. She defines what unites and divides us, as well as who we are and what we feel we are. She is the storyteller of timeless modernism, romanticism, and genuineness, and she is an ardent user of brilliant colours.
